The Hon’ble Delhi High Court vide its order dated 18th July, 2000 had vacated the stay granted to the petitioner, namely, Bulk Drug Manufacturer’s Association (BDMA) is respect of the following 8 bulk drugs vide its interim order dated 7th January, 1999.
- Ciprofloxacin
- Cefadroxil
- Cloxacillin
- Norfloxacin
- Salbutamol Sulphate
- Sulphamethaxazole
- Theophylline
- Trimethoprim
Consequent to the above order of the Hon’ble High Court, manufacturers of bulk drugs/ formulations of the above stated bulk drugs are required to implement the prices fixed by Government/ NPPA. NPPA has also initiated action relating to recovery of overcharged amounts in respect of these drugs from the concerned manufacturers.
