Dear Sir,

I am directed to say that the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers is having a fresh look into the issue of pointing of ‘red strip’ and ‘green strip’ for Scheduled and Non-Scheduled drugs respectively on the labels. The implementation of the notification S.O. No. 203(E) dated 30th March, 1999 has been stayed until further orders. This may please be noted for information and necessary action.
