ORDER
S.O. 2671(E) :- In pursuance of paragraph 7 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1995, read with S.O. No. 637(E) dated the 4th September, 1997 issued by the Government of India in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, in supersessions of the order of the Government of India in the Ministry Chemicals and Fertilizers (National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority) S.O. No. 2972(E) & 2973(E) dated 16th December, 2010, S.O. 522(E) dated 14th March, 2011, S.O. 2119(E) dated 20thSeptember, 2011 and S.O. 1504(E) dated 1st July, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, extraordinary, part II, Section – 3, sub-section (ii), hereby prescribes the norms as prescribed below for Packing Material Cost of materials for the purpose of the said paragraph, which shall come into force with immediate effect:-

Special Note :
- In respect of tablets and capsules packed in strips or blisters, additional cost of Rs.0.04 per 10 tablets or capsules shall be allowed towards hologram.
- Additional packing material cost of Rs.0.05 per 10’s pack shall be allowed in the case of tablet / capsule packaging with Image / Text invisible to naked eye and visible under UV Light.
- Any Item not covered in the above mentioned norms shall be examined and considered on case to case basis.
