SUB: – INVITATION of EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR OPRATING ALL INDIA SMS HELPLINE FOR GENERAL PUBLIC TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON GENERIC/ BRANDED MEDICINES.

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) is an independent body of experts under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, established by Gazette notification dated 29.08.1997.  The Authority is entrusted with the task of price fixation / revision of the 74 scheduled drugs and formulation containing any of the scheduled drugs under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1995 as well as monitoring and enforcement of prices. In order to enable the consumers to know the latest market price of generic/ branded medicines through SMS, NPPA intends to start all India SMS helpline service for consumers.

Expression of Interest (EOI) is invited from eligible companies/firms/ agencies having sufficient experience, infrastructure and access to MRP of all the generic/ branded medicines available and sold in various parts of India. The contract will be provided for minimum 3 years extendable with mutual consent every year.

The interested and eligible companies/firms/agencies may send their EOI in the prescribed format to the Director (Administration), National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority, 3^rd/5^th Floor, New Delhi YMCA, 1-Jai Singh, Road, New Delhi 110001. The details of terms & conditions etc. can be downloaded from the website of NPPA, www.nppaindia.nic.in, and may send the EOI in a sealed envelope containing ‘technical bids’ and ‘price bids’ in separate envelopes clearly marked “EOI for SMS helpline”. The last date of receipt of EOI is 45 days from the date of publication of this EoI in the news paper/ website whichever is later. The EOIs received after the last date will not be accepted.

NPPA has right to reject any or all EOIs received in response to this invitation without assigning any reason and its decision in this regard shall be final and binding.

The EOIs must reach to the designated office within 45 days from the date of publication of the EoI in the news paper/website whichever is later.
