What’s New (6/2001)
NPPA has revised the prices of bulk drugs Potassium Penicillin G (1st Crystal), Sodium Penicillin G, Benzathine Penicillin G, Procaine Penicillin G and Ranitidine Hcl, from Rs.1025.00 to Rs.727.00, Rs.1733.00 to Rs.1094.00, Rs.3217.00 to Rs.2591.00, Rs.1820.00 to Rs.1323.00 and Rs.1255.00 to Rs.1061.00 respectively vide notification in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Nos. 201(E), 202(E), 203(E), 204(E) and 205(E) dated 7th March, 2001. The above prices have been fixed/revised under paragraph 3 of DPCO, 1995.
The revised notified prices shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All the manufacturers of the formulations utilizing these drugs in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995 with regard to seeking price revisions for formulations manufactured by them.
