NPPA has fixed/ revised the prices of bulk drugs Phenyl Butazone, Aspirin and Ibuprofen. These prices have been revised from Rs.478/ kg to Rs.352/kg for Phenyl Butazone, from Rs.376/kg to Rs.384/kg for Ibuprofen and from Rs.119/kg to Rs.134/kg for Aspirin vide notification in the Gazette of India Extraordinary No.S.O.1133(E) to S.O.1135(E) dated 15th October, 2004. The prices have been revised on the basis of available information under the provisions of DPCO, 1995. For details please click the following:

The revised notified prices shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All formulators utilizing these drugs in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995.
