Subject: DPCO,1995-Fixation/Revision of price of bulk drug Ibuprofen.

NPPA has revised the price of bulk drug Ibuprofen from Rs. 365.00/ Kg to Rs. 346/ Kg, vide notification in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Nos. S.O. 43(E) dated 15th January, 2001. The above price has been revised on the basis of comprehensive cost price study under the provision of DPCO, 1995. A copy of the same is enclosed. The notification is also available on the NPPA website www.nppaindia.com.

The revised notified price shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All the manufacturers of the formulations utilising this drug in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995 with regard to pricing of the derivative formulations.
