The NPPA has revised the price of bulk drug Rifampicin. The Maximum Selling Price (MSP) of this bulk drug has been revised from Rs.4200/Kg to Rs.3480/Kg based on detailed cost price study of M/s Novartis, M/s GTBL and M/s Lupin Ltd. under para 3 of DPCO, 1995.
The revised notified prices shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All formulators utilizing these drugs in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995.
