Under para 7 of DPCO, 1995, the Government is required to fix the norms of conversion cost, packing charges and process loss and notify the same in the Official Gazette. The norms were notified vide S.O. 578(E) dated 13th July, 1999 published in the Gazette of India. The validity of the above notification was last extended vide notification No.S.O.664(E) dated 12th July, 2001. The validity of this notification is further extended vide notification dated 12th July, 2002.
